 WHAT'S THE DEAL?

A Family Dance Party

Please join us & members of Bearly Dead in celebration of Chris’s 40th Birthday

AUGUST 5, 2023 | 5 O’CLOCK

CADWELL BROTHERS FARM

600 ELM STREET PITTSFORD, VT

The Cadwell Brothers Farm has been in the family for eight generations and over 175 years. Set in the valley of Otter Creek along the west flank of Vermont’s Green Mountains, the farm’s 300 acres have yielded milk, eggs, grain, vegetables, livestock, wool, lumber, and revelrous dance parties.

A special thank you to the Cadwell Brothers, Chris’s uncles, for their stewardship of the farm. The barn foundation was replaced this year … let’s help it settle in by rockin’ the timbers.

Other Weekend Activities

Walk the Cadwell Loop

(0 min from farm)

2.3-mile loop trail we call The Loop (recognize it from this season of The Bachelor?!) starts and finishes at the barn. The Loop is part of Pittsford’s broader trail network. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 45 min to complete (longer with toddlers.) This trail is great for hiking and walking. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Not very shaded … so go for a swim midday.

Swimming At Pittsford Recreation Center

(5 min drive from farm)

Town Recreation Center. Manmade swimming pond and beach fed by chilly mountain water from Furnace Brook. Superb salamander hunting along the shore. Charcoal grills and picnic tables. Playground. Epic 9 hole frisbee golf course. Basketball court. Tennis and Pickle Ball courts.

Swimming at Lake Dunmore

(30 min drive from farm)

A favorite small lake. Great family swimming and sunning at Lake Dunmore - Bradbury State Park. Casual beach and shallow swimming. Charcoal grills and picnic tables. Playground. A classic moderate hike up to a swimmable and jumpable waterfall called Falls of Lana is nearby.

Mountain Biking at the BEAST

(30 min drive from farm)

The Killington Bike Park features three high-speed lifts serving over 30 miles of trails. From beginner to expert and classic New England singletrack to Gravity Logic's signature flow trails, Killington Bike Park has terrain suitable for everyone. Rental everything is available at the base. Killington summer offerings also include the Beast Mountain Coaster, the Skye Ropes Course, and the Amaze'n Maze.

MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE

(30 min drive from farm)

It’s pretty. Language school will be in session. Puedes hablar otro idioma con los alumnos. Vous pouvez parler une autre langue avec les étudiants. يمكنك التحدث بلغة أخرى مع الطلاب Hiki iā ʻoe ke ʻōlelo i ka ʻōlelo ʻē aʻe me nā haumāna.
